How do I place an order?
Please fill out the inquiry form and we will we get back to you within 24 hours with a reply to your catering request or confirmation of your bento orders. Please note there is currently a 10 box minimum for bento orders.
How far in advance do I need to order?
The earlier the better - please contact us at least 3 days in advance for a bento box order and ideally at least 2 weeks in advance for a catering order as we do book quite early. For last minute catering (less than 72 hours) requests we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee the time is available.
Where are the menu items?
Our menus are created weekly for the omakase bento boxes and daily for our regular catered customers. For catered events we will work together with you to create your ideal type of menu. We are Japanese inspired but blend French, Italian, American, and Spanish influences into our food as well. We will usually send you a sample menu in ample time before your event and we can work together to alter it if necessary.
How do I pay for my order?
We accept checks, cash and all major credit cards. Once we have your order, we will email you an invoice with payment instructions at least two days before delivery. Checks can be made payable to Shiki NYC upon delivery for bento orders. Please email us for payment instructions for catered events.
How much will my order cost?
For catered events, pricing varies based on the size and type of event you wish to have. Prices do not include the delivery fee and/or catering fee and NYS tax of 8.875%. We do not charge a mandatory gratuity; however, for
1) On-location set-up jobs-
* For less than 40 guests- we charge a $150 fee for delivery, setup & pickup.
* For greater than 40 guests- we charge a fixed 15% catering fee that includes delivery, setup, pickup, and extra labor fees.
2) Drop-off box orders and bento orders- we charge $50
* Delivery outside Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn are subject to higher fees.
* Our minimum spend for event catering is $1,000.

Does Shiki deliver?
Yes, we currently deliver to Manhattan and certain areas of Brooklyn and Queens.
Can I pick up my order?
At this time, we only offer delivery for bento and drop-off box orders. Bento orders are subject to availability.
Do you deliver outside of New York?
We currently only deliver Shiki to our clients in the NYC-area.
What if I have severe allergies?
We cook with dairy, nuts, sugar, soy, seafood, and flour daily in our kitchen so Shiki isn't recommended for those with severe allergies to these ingredients. Please specify any allergies when contacting us and we will do our best to accommodate.
Can shiki be made vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free?
Shiki bento boxes and catering can both be made vegetarian, but not vegan. We can make many courses gluten-free however we cannot promise the whole box or catered event will be gluten-free. Please reach out regarding any dietary restrictions, and we will let you know what is possible or not.
Can I cancel my order?
We accept bento order cancellations up to two days (48 hours) before the event. After that, unfortunately, we need to charge you 100% of the order. For catering orders, cancellations after 48 hours before the event starts will result in 50% cancellation fee. For orders cancelled within 24 hours, we charge the full 100%.
