How do I place an order?
Please fill out the inquiry form and we will we get back to you within 24 hours with a reply to your catering request or confirmation of your bento orders ***Currently accepting only large orders for bentos***.
How far in advance do I need to order?
The earlier the better - please contact us at least at least 2 weeks in advance for a catering order as we do book quite early. For last minute catering (less than 72 hours) requests we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee the time is available.
Where are the menu items?
New menus are created at least two times a week for our regular catered customers. For catered events we will work together with you to create your ideal type of menu. We are Japanese inspired but blend French, Italian, American, Mexican & Spanish influences into our food as well. We will send you a sample menu in ample time before your event and we can work together to alter it if necessary.
How do I pay for my order?
We accept ACH, checks, and all major credit cards. Credit card transactions do incur a 3% transaction fee, Once we have your order, we will email you an invoice with payment instructions at least two days before day of event. Please email us for payment and deposit instructions for larger catered events.
How much will my order cost?
For catered events, pricing varies based on the size and type of event you wish to have. Prices do not include the delivery fee and/or catering fee and NYS tax of 8.875%. We do not charge a mandatory gratuity; however, for
1) On-location set-up jobs-
* For less than 40 guests- we charge a $200 fee for delivery, setup & pickup.
* For greater than 40 guests- we charge $250+ for delivery, setup & pickup.
2) Drop-off box orders and bento orders- we charge $50 minimum for delivery
* Delivery outside Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn are subject to higher fees.
* Our minimum spend for event catering is $1,500. Our photo shoot events typically have a 15 person minimum. Please inquire for smaller events.
Can I pick up my order?
At this time, we only offer delivery for our catering and drop-off box orders.
Do you deliver outside of New York?
We currently only deliver Shiki to our clients in the NYC-area.
What if I have severe allergies?
We cook with dairy, nuts, sugar, soy, seafood, and flour daily in our kitchen so Shiki isn't recommended for those with severe allergies to these ingredients. Please specify any allergies when contacting us and we will do our best to accommodate.
Can shiki be made vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free?
All our spread catered menus contain vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free courses. Please reach out regarding specific dietary restrictions, and we will let you know what we can do!
Can I cancel my order?
For catering orders, cancellations after 48 hours before the event starts will result in 50% cancellation fee. For orders cancelled within 24 hours, we charge the full 100%. Larger events may require a deposit a week before the event date.
